January reopening and remote learning update!

Bear with us whilst we iron out any bumps!

Dear parent/carer,

Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming those of you who have contacted us around critical worker provision or places for vulnerable children.

It is the start of term and there will doubtless be bumps in the road whilst we get our remote learning strategy up and running - please bear with us whilst we finish our plans off and get into a good routine with students online.

A reminder of our remote learning approach can be found here at this link, and whilst there will be initial activities available tomorrow, this will kick in with greater rigour from Monday, 11th January, in line with the expectations from the Department for Education.

The school will be a hive of activity for the next two days in particular - we ask for your patience around email and telephone response.  Some staff will be teaching in person, some will be setting work online, meetings will be taking place and all the other activities that take place in a school day - we will get a chance to respond, but it might not necessarily be straightaway.  Some staff are unavailable owing to their own childcare situations, some are shielding - it is logistically complex.

Finally, I hope that you stay safe throughout this continuing and challenging situation.

Yours in Christ
