Year 9 Options
Year 9 students have some important choices to make in preparation for Years 10 and 11 at St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy. The core curriculum which all students follow is made up of the following GCSE subjects: English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Religious Education and two Combined Science GCSEs that cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students also continue with core Physical Education (PE) and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE). All core and option courses, with the exception of core PE and PSHE, lead to qualifications recognised by the Department for Education and provide pathways post-16 including sixth form college and apprenticeships.
An options presentation will take place on Thursday 3rd March at the same time as parents evening, where subject leaders will outline information about their subjects. The options booklet below contains all the information you need with email addresses for any staff member you might need to contact.
